†† * Parable of the Wicked Servant Mat. 24:45-51.

†† †† - The wicked servant was lost for his own sinful conduct.

 

†† * The Ten Virgins (Mat. 25:1-13)

††††† - 5 wise virgins and 5 foolish virgins .The wise made preparations for the bridegrooms coming.

††††† - Foolish didnít prepare properly. When bridegroom came, they had to go in search of oil.

 

†† * The Parable of the Talents (Mat. 25:14-30)

††††† - Jesus had taught to watch and pray for His return.We must be busy in the Masterís service.

1. The Parable.

††† * Kingdom belongs to God but Christ rules over it. Acts 2:22-36, I Cor. 15:25-27

††† * Christians are not waiting for a kingdom (I The. 4:13-18; Eph. 5:27).

††† * The householder.

†††††† - Traveling to far country. Went to heaven to sit at Godís right hand and reign. Acts 2:21-36

†††††† - Eph. 4:8-10 -

††† * He delivered them his goods.

†††††† - This is the principle of stewardship. God owns everything (Psa. 24:1; 50:10-11).

††† * We will give account- Rom. 14:12; II Cor. 5:10

2. The Distribution of the Talents.

††† * He gives according to their abilities. (I Cor. 12:18). Abilities can be increased (Rom. 12:6-8).

††† * We have received generously, we must give generously (Mat. 10:8).

††† * Talent - unit of measure or weight - substantial amount. In parable, also represents abilities.

††† * The servants represent members of the church & every member has some ability.

††† * The master didnít place more responsibility on them than they could bear.

††† * He did not expect the same result from each one. Both received the approval of the master.

3. The Use Each Servant Made of His Talent.

5. Lessons Learned.

††† * God will not hold us accountable for what we do not have, only what we do have.

††† * It is not what you would do if you had such and such. Itís what are youíre doing with what you have.

††† * Before we are given greater talent or responsibility, we must first prove that we are faithful with what we now have.

††† * There is only one spiritual kingdom created by God (Matt. 16:18).
